Today was one of those times when I’m reminded that what I don’t know about photography and video production is so much more than what I know. That is particularly true when I begin layering ideas and complexities on top of each other.
I’ve been somewhat pleased with the time-lapse images I’ve been able to capture with the GoPro camera. However, the wide angel image can get a little boring, so today I decided to attempt to gather some telephoto time-lapse images using the Canon 100mm – 400mm lens that just came back from the repair shop. I was able to capture some good detail shots from my office window, but I had to fall back on a couple tricks in the video editing software to compensate for camera shake that’s difficult to completely avoid when you’re making pictures with a long lens.
