Motorcycle music – ‘Further on up the road’

I understand that the road in this song is metaphorical. The road represents life experience, and this song is really about karma’s revenge.

“Further on up the road
Someone’s gonna hurt you like you hurt me.
Further on up the road,
Baby, just you wait and see.” ~ Joe Medwick Veasey and Don D. Robey

For me, the way this song is played by Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa and company is what makes it motorcycle music. That hard driving blues beat, the close-to-yelling vocals, and those guitar solos put me in the mood to ride.

AND… Riding a motorcycle is a little about revenge. The act pokes a finger in the eye of society, and it screams at nature to do its worst.
